Clean up resources

  1. Delete service running task definition in ECS cluster

    • Access to Amazon ECS Management Console with the old interface
    • In the left sidebar, select Clusters
    • Select ECS Cluster related to the lab
    • On the ECS Cluster information page, tick the services related to the article
    • Select Delete
    • In the prompt, type delete me in the empty box and select Delete
  2. Delete ECS Cluster – this will take a few minutes

    • Access to Amazon ECS Management Console with the old interface
    • In the left sidebar, select Clusters
    • Select ECS Cluster related to the lab
    • Select Delete Cluster
    • In the prompt, type delete me in the empty box and select Delete
    • Wait 1-2 minutes for ECS Cluster to finish deleting resources
  3. Deregister Task Definition

    • Access to Amazon ECS Management Console with the old interface
    • In the left sidebar, select Task Definitions
    • Select Task Definition related to the lab
    • Tick all task definitions related to the lesson
    • Select Actions
    • Select Deregister
  4. Clear ECR

    • Access to Amazon ECS Management Console with the old interface
    • In the left sidebar, select Repositories
    • Tick the Repository related to the lab
    • Select Delete
    • Type delete in the empty box and select Delete
  5. Remove Load Balancer

    • Access EC2 Management Console
    • On the left navigation bar, select Load Balancers
    • Select Load Balancer related to the lab.
    • Click Actions.
    • Click Delete.
  6. Delete Target Group

    • Access EC2 Management Console
    • On the left navigation bar, select Target Groups
    • Select the Target Group related to the lab.
    • Click Actions.
    • Click Delete.
    • Click Yes, delete
  7. Delete RDS Database

    • Access the RDS Management Console
    • On the left navigation bar, select Databases
    • Tick the DB Instance related to the lab.
    • Select Modify, uncheck ‘Enable delete protection’, and select Continue
    • Select Apply immediately and select Modify DB instance
    • Select all DB Instances related to the lab.
    • Tick on DB Instance and select Actions.
    • Click Delete
    • Uncheck Create final snapshot? and select I acknowledge that upon instance deletion, automated backups, including system snapshots and point-in-time recovery, will no longer be available
    • Type delete me in the empty box.
    • Click Delete
    • RDS will take 5 minutes to delete
  8. Delete Security Group

    • You must wait for the RDS Instance to clear completely.
    • Access EC2 Management Console
    • On the left navigation bar, select Security Groups
    • Select all Security Groups related to the lab.
    • Click Actions.
    • Click Delete security groups
    • Click Delete
